National League Rookie of the Year, Pirates P Paul Skenes joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. He talks about celebrating his Rookie of the Year award and having patience before getting called up to the big leagues. And he’s always looking for ways to get better and isn’t planning to rest on his laurels. And he really enjoyed the unique challenge of facing Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani and can’t wait to do it again.
Dan Patrick: “What was it like facing (Shohei) Ohtani?”
Paul Skenes: “It was cool, it was cool...just having the opportunity to face him, I don’t know what, five or six times this year, and knowing that it’s going to be five or six times next year and the year after that, that’s pretty cool to look forward to.”
