Despite the blockbuster trade for Luka Dončić, the Los Angeles Lakers were unceremoniously bounced from the NBA Playoffs last night and it feels like the narrative surrounding Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison needs some adjusting. Mavs fans have been calling for him to be fired since the trade was made but they may need to rethink their evaluation of the highly publicized move.
Doug Gottlieb: “Isn’t today the day that Nico Harrison looks like he did the right thing? Isn’t it? Without playing one single game in the actual playoffs, the narrative around Nico Harrison (went) from ‘This guy’s the biggest idiot, buffoon. When is Dallas going to get rid of him?’ to ‘You know, he might have been on to something.’”
