The Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers from the NBA Playoffs last night on the back of an historic performance from C Rudy Gobert whom Dan has called, “the most overrated player in the NBA.” Dan issues an apology for his earlier comments, but it doesn’t sound like he really means it.
Dan Patrick: “I’d like to take this moment, going to stare into the camera, to Rudy Gobert I apologize for saying you’re the most overrated player in the NBA, for one night [laughter]”
Paul Pabst “It’s a temporary apology.”
Dan: “Very, very temporary. Rudy Gobert looked like Hakeem Olajuwon, he looked like Shaq, he looked like Tim Duncan…But to Rudy Gobert once again: congratulations on a wonderful performance against a front line that I think I probably could’ve gotten 10 rebounds…”
