Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine are lending their legendary voices to AI. The actors just teamed up with ElevenLabs, the audio tech company licensing realistic digital versions of celebrity voices. McConaughey, who’s also investing in the AI startup, is using its tech to release a Spanish-language edition of his “Lyrics of Livin’” newsletter in his voice. “I’ve been impressed by how the ElevenLabs team has taken the magic of the core technology and turned it into products that creators, enterprises and storytellers use daily,” he said.
Meanwhile, 92-year-old Caine joins ElevenLabs’ new Iconic Voice Marketplace, a platform that lets creators license his voice ethically. Caine’s AI voice, featured in a sizzle reel from ElevenLabs, summed up the company’s initiative saying, “Each new advancement in technology is met with caution... But every single time, the human drive for passion, artistry and creativity prevails,” adding, “Technology is just the medium. This is humanity…amplified.” Check out the full list of famous voices ElevenLabs offers for licensing below.
