On Sunday the Chicago Sun Times published what seemed like a simple enough story to compile. "Our Summer reading list for 2025”. How could that devolve into a scandal? Several book critics who read the list weren't familiar with some of the titles listed. The authors were all well known to them just the titles. By Tuesday social media was flooded with people saying that these titles don't exsist. By Tuesday night the Sun Times had to confirm the worst scenario was true. We regret to report that AI had been used to create the list as part of the special section which was supplied by a nationally-recognized content partner". Oops!
