Top Wrestling Couple Gets Married

All Elite Wrestling star Ricochet and former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin were married on Wednesday (March 26).

Ricochet, whose real name is Trevor Mann, appeared on Wednesday night's episode of Dynamite via video announcing his absence was due to his wedding day. Irvin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, was seen dancing with her new husband while they watched fireworks in videos shared on her Instagram Story

Mann, 36, initially confirmed his relationship with Johnson, 36, on social media when both were still working for WWE in November 2021 and the couple announced their engagement in 2023. Ricochet, a former WWE Intercontinental and United States champion, notified WWE officials of his intention to leave the company in June 8 and was written off television following an attack by Bron Breakker that resulted in his character being taken out of the arena via ambulance on June 10, before making his AEW debut at the All In pay-per-view event in August.

Johnson made her surprising departure from WWE last year, correcting a report that WWE was informed of her resignation "hours before" the October 21 live broadcast of Monday Night Raw by stating that she had actually notified the company about her decision "Months* before Raw" in a post on her X account days later. Johnson and WWE reportedly "couldn't come to terms" on her working outside projects, which resulted in her decision to leave the company, according to the Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez.

Johnson was hired by WWE in 2021 as the ring announcer for its 205 Live show and later NXT before being promoted to SmackDown in 2022 and moved to RAW in 2023. Irvin served as the lone ring announcer for all 14 matches during WrestleMania XL, receiving praise from legendary boxing and WCW ring announcer Michael Buffer and legendary WWE ring announcer Lillian Garcia, who later served as her temporary replacement.
